Inter-Racial Relationships
In the Hebrew Scriptures inter-racial relationships are often condemned, but at a closer look the reason has nothing to do with race. In fact, one inter-racial relationship in Scripture is supported, and the story is even given its own book. This is the story of Ruth who was a Moabite that married a Jew. The reason her marriage was acceptable, is because both parties held to belief in the same God. See, whenever the Christian Bible condemns inter-racial relationships it is always because the different races believed in different gods.
The Christian Bible teaches that Christians should marry Christians, and that is the only stipulation. If you do decide to marry someone of another race, you will need to think about different cultural issues, family traditions, and the different worldviews that you and your spouse will have. The key in doing this is communication. It is important that the two of you can communicate. If you can communicate and you are both willing to compromise on some issues, then I see no trouble in marrying someone of a different ethnic group.
