Rape

Rape is an important issue to cover on this site, because statistically one out of every four women in the United States has been a victim of rape.  If you have been raped or if you know someone who has, first and foremost I want to encourage you to seek counseling over this issue.  I also want you to understand that what has happened to you was not your fault and that God does not love you any less because this happened.  Rape occurs anytime you give yourself to someone else unwillingly.  You are not wrong for not wanting to give yourself up, and if you were raped, you do not need to be ashamed because this has happened to you.

If you have been a victim of rape, do not blame yourself, feel guilty, or believe that you are now somehow unlovable.  You are still special, still beautiful, still loveable, and still a valuable person.
